Do you need someone based in Birmingham?

Location can matter for inspection logistics and availability, but it does not form part of this site's score. Compare who will actually handle the work, how quickly they can inspect when required, their party wall experience and their fee structure.

What matters more: a 5.0 rating or more reviews?

This site deliberately treats rating and review volume as separate factors. A very high rating based on a small number of reviews is different evidence from a similar rating supported by a much larger review history. Published fee value is assessed separately where there is enough comparable information.

Check whether the Act applies before choosing on price
